Our organization offers a wide range of high quality Densified/Compreg Wood Laminates. This highly innovative product is a boon for the transformer industry. These Laminates are fabricated using pressing thin veneers infused with synthetic resin adhesives under high temperature and pressure. Our laminates acquire dielectric properties of transformer oil after these have been vacuum dried and impregnated with a unique compound Pyrochlore. Apart from the heavy duty capacity, the highly homogeneous material of our Laminates have a remarkable mechanical and electrical properties. These Laminates are extensively used for a wide range of engineering applications and also for the manufacturing insulating components. We offer our Densified/Compreg Wood Laminates in two types:
Type 1: In this type all the laminations have grains in the same direction. This unique variant has high tensile and bending properties apart from high insulation characteristics. Type 1 Compreg Wood Laminate is ideal for manufacturing cleats, buttons, rods and packing, where components are subjected to very heavy loads.
Type 2: In Type 2 all the laminations have grains at right angles to each other. Apart from insulation characteristics, this variant provides high compression and high shear strength.
Each type is manufactured in three different density ranges denoted with the nomenclature LD (Low Density), MD (Medium Density) & HD (High Density). Some other salient features of this range are:
- Offered in thickness ranging from 3/8" (9.5mm) to 4" (120mm) in two grades
- Also supplied in the form of components as per customer’s drawing or sample
- High electrical insulation
- Exceptional oil absorption properties
- Low specific weight
- Suitable for high mechanical load
- Abrasive/wear & tear resistant
- Suitable for a wide temperature range
